Wreck diver, PADI / ADIP

Whether intentionally sunk as an artificial reef or as a result of an accident, shipwrecks are fascinating windows into the past.

The fun part of the SSI Wreck Diver course is visiting the wrecks, unraveling the mysteries, and beginning to gain the knowledge and experience needed to see things others might overlook. Sometimes, only the trained and experienced eye recognizes that a small hole or an open door was likely the cause of the vessel's disappearance.

The Scuba Schools International (SSI) Wreck Diving specialty is designed to provide divers with the skills and knowledge necessary to explore shipwrecks safely and confidently. This specialty is aimed at both recreational divers and those interested in exploring historical shipwrecks or simply enjoying the marine life that often surrounds these submerged structures.
